Company History

AffordableWindowShades.com is the online division of Burlington Blinds Inc. of Vermont. Founded in 1986 by brothers Robert and Harry Delp, Burlington Blinds was established to serve the commercial market. For over 20-years the Delp brothers have designed, manufactured and installed their way to one of the leading window covering suppliers in New England. Examples of their work can be found in universities and hospitals throughout Vermont, Upstate New York and New Hampshire.

In 1998 the Delp brothers decided to go retail and created Accent-Blinds.com (formerly http://www.acustomwindowtreatment.com) to offer a hand-selected number of products over the world wide web. By applying the same level of expertise and high quality customer service to the site as they did to create their commercial division they have grown Accent Blinds and Shades into one of the leading online retailers in the country.

In January 2003 with the growing popularity of the private label program being offered on Accent-Blinds, AffordableWindowShades.com was launched.
